Mosquitoes
Mosquitoes have a single pair of wings covered in tiny scales. They have thin legs and adult mosquitoes range from 3 to 9mm. Mosquitoes belong to the group called Diptera. These insects are usually confused with flies. Unlike mosquitoes, flies will not bite and long-legged flies are much smaller than mosquitoes. Mosquitoes are recognized as irritating pests and can spread diseases such as the well-known West Nile virus among others that threaten health. According to the World Health Organization, more than one million people die from mosquito-borne diseases annually.

Signs of infestation:
Mosquito activity is not silent and will encompass buzzing of females and their bites. In regards to bites, people have different reactions ranging from mild irritation to intense inflammation. Immature mosquitoes can be found in areas of standing water.
